Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.

and they will notify me about appearing for biometrics if required.

Point1) makes me perplexed - Can there be agreements with open ended
time periods.
But whatever is the exit strategy i will end up paying almost $10,000 as lawyer fees.
There are many points on which this agreement can be defended.
1. No fixed time period. Staying upto 1 year after getting GC is same as saying work until the car engine for the company CEO's car goes out. Nobody can predict either one.
2. Usually waiver of filing lawsuit by employee involves sum of money for its consideration. Many employer pay employee month salary (or part/multiple) to offer agreement for not suing. Agreement terms without consideration are usually null and void. For example, I can't have agreement with you that you will deliver free newspaper without stating consideration/compensation for you.
3. Company can claim for GC Expenses and other related expenses if employee leaves within reasonable and agreed period. So probably $10,000 is in the agreement to cover that.
Now for the bad news, defending this agreement could cost much more than $10,000, besides time and hassles. More so, if employee and employer are in two different states as employer can file suit in their state. In short, $10,000 is cost of moving out of this job at the time of your choice. You could also look at it as the added cost of GC.
I suggest you should consider making a plan to move in your life and career. As they say, freedom is priceless.

Also issue of discrepancy of EB2-I and EB3-I is raised first time that is after Aug VB. But I think it will fade away after oct VB when normal processing starts as diff in PD between EB3 and EB2 will be 1 or 2 years and each category will have equal Visa numbers for 9 months.
Also the issue of recapture was raised when in 2005 the dates were retrogressed . But I think the issue will fade away after 2014 when most of the categories will be either current or near current.
PS; I am a strong proponent of recapture but such insensitive post to EB3 plight deserves such a response.

I sent the email to senators but was disappointed not to see any SKIL provisions like MS, PHD exemptions.

Thanks Zooom, for starting this thread. I've mentioned about IV Core's selfless service in our 'Thanks' thread couple of days ago but didn't know about the magnitude. $64k is helluva money and its just not right coming from one pocket to favor thousands of others. Aman and other core, day by day you raise above and beyond our imaginations as a leader and guide. We assure you that you will not pay another single dime from your pocket.
I pledge $100 to Reimburse the core team now and more later.
Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...

Well, my old carcass is getting too aged to handle that anymore. So now I ease off the sauce and go to the gym.
But I do also try to notice and enjoy the silliness of the every day human condition. (Still to this day, I'm not sure why I mow my lawn, for instance.) A sense of humour is very important. Recognition that there are others less fortunate. And stay connected with friends socially.
And also recognize that fact that a green card won't make me magically happier beyond the immediate jubilation. Yes it is good to regain the rights we lost coming to the US. To speeches I'll still smile, nod, even clap and think "what a bunch of nonsense!" for privacy is the true freedom that you still have. But I'll still work for a living. I'll still put on a dress shirt to impress clients I'll never see. I'll still try to spend more time creating than managing. Not simply because my h1b legally requires me to do so, but because managing is intellectually trivial. Or one could say that managing is the work of man, creation is the work of the gods. ; )

Sanju my friend, why sarcasm ? This is such wonderful information, why can't this be made more public, posted in a prominent position on IV ? Why should members do research to get this info when it can be relatively easily acquired by Quinn Gillespie & Assoc and given to core ? Come on man, a little bit of information like this goes a long way with members.

I don't know why core or admins here do not give out this information, you could ask them, but I do know that folks here should grow up and be mature not scared to do their own research, because the best thing we can do for ourselves is, research and gain knowledge. I did a simple google search and within 5 minutes I found this information. So if someone wants to find information, there is no scarcity of relevant information online. The problem is, some folks don't want to move their fingers to do simple google search, but they have all the time in the world to find reasons to sit on their a$$ and not do anything. We have explained you during the phone conversation that it is not the right time to pick up country limits issue. We have run this by our strategist again and they have also advised us that its not the right time for this issue. Others on the forum, including unitednations, have also made an attempt to explain you the issues we are all dealing with. You are free to do whatever you think is best for you. We think that your actions are likely to harm the community effort. So in the best interest of the community effort, please be cautioned that we will be forced to ban you from this site if you continue this on the forum.
