Hi
I have given up hopes of getting an H-1B through the Master's quota. I applied on April 4. So there are no hopes anyway.
Now how can one get an H-1B through a non-profit organization. My understanding of this process is not very clear. I was under the impression (wrong impression!!) that if I can get a job at a Non-Profit place through a consulting company(I am an employee of the consulting company and not the Non-Profit org) and because my workplace is at a non-profit organization, I can get an H-1B that qualifies as one that belongs to the Non-Profit H-1B category.
Please clarify. I am trying to understand this clearly.

This is talking about I-140 and not I-485.....
My I-140 filed with TSC is still pending since August 2007. I hope I get a decision ( hopefully positive) by Sep 2009!
Could you elaborate why you say this is about I140? I couldn't derive that from the posting. Anyhow this whole this is utter nonsense from the immigration department. I don't think there will be any action, period.
The whole thing is written as if June 2007 happened by mistake, I don't buy that.

simple1 - whenever I see ur reply, it's regarding a toll alert. Same with ronhira guy. All you 2 two do is issue toll alert whenever someone asks a question.
H1-B audits are a reality and he is asking about a visit that he got because clearly no one expects it. What's the problem? What fact gaps did ur james bond brain find?

1) if quarterly soillover is a law and USCIS not doing it they are doing something against the law so we can file a lawsuit against it but again how can we prove that they are not doing quarterly spillover.
USCIS says its happening......
2) If USCIS doesnt use full numbers assigned for Green Cards and waste them you can again sue them for that but will it be succesfull or not that has to be researched.
USCIS has not wasted visas in the past two years............
3) That H1b employee - employer relation memo is a best example to file a lawsuit against them as there interpratation of the law was completely wrong but noone did it.
I read somewhere about the memo being withdrawn for more review.............
Finding a judge who will be favorable to our cause, priceless!!

what i meant was...as individuals we can have views different from IV..;-)
as members of IV..we stick with the our IV goal.. thats all..no controversy there..;)

Secondly there are no "individual constituents" when it comes to Immigration Voice. This is an organization OF, FOR and BY the "EMPLOYMENT BASED LEGAL IMMIGRANTS". We neither support nor oppose rewards or penalties for or against the undocumented workers (illegal immigrants). Individual members can have their own "opinions/biases", but NO individual member can speak on behalf of Immigration Voice on major issues. As per my understanding, ONLY the IV Core team/Board members as a WHOLE can make such decisions.

Yes it will be Pending Adjustment for all of you if you use EAD .
But as backup and if not required just be on H1B visa and do job for same company again if possible .

i don't normally go for tricked-up stuff, but this one kind of hooked me. I did the "Ansel Adams" conversion to B&W which gave me a contrasty and "antique' look. Then I merged it with the original at about 45%.
This gave the shot a very surreal look.
