I had the same thing happen to me, applied PP on June19, it reached on 20th got approved on June21. Status still shows pending, but the lawyer got the approval notice with an A# to boot...
Just to update, I got a CRIS mail that I was approved on the June21 and the online status changed to approved today....thats more than 2 weeks after the lawyer got the approval notice...snail mail seems faster then online notifications....why is everything so Topsy turvy with these guys only !!

I am in the same boat. I have recieved my 2nd EAD with wrong dates (validity dates same as my 1st EAD). Called USCIS and was told to fill out I-765 and along with the card and send it back to service center (w/o any fees).
Just curious if it worked out for you, as I am afraid that I don't want to re-start my 90-day clock all over again.

Priority date needs to be current both at the time of filing 485, as well as at the time of approval. Hence, PD is very important even after filing. The issue I do not understand is how the applications are processed. Are they processed in the times only when PD is current, or are they processed regardless of PD but lie in pre-adjudicated status until the particular applications PD becomes current again (if retrogressed)?

Can anyone help with advice? Talk about frustration! I qualify for EB2 since I have a masters degree (and also more than 5 years of experience in my field). I could qualify for EB2 except that my job description "prefers" (rather than "requires") a masters degree. The language prevents my compay from filing EB2, yet my job responsibilities are such that they certaily warrant a masters degree. My compay doesn't want to change my position or wording even though they clearly know (through my explanations) that that means adding close to 5-6 years to the wait! They also fail to see that making me wait so long also affects them because the company cannot promote me or chage my responsibilities for the duration of the wait! Has anyone been through the same situation?
They get a well qualified employee at a lower salary for a longer period of time. If they don't listen try to find an employer that could file u at EB-2.

It all depends on how you look at it. Under the h1b program anyone is a indentured slave, just not indian software engineers. There are good consulting companies and do pay well.

This seems to be perception based on what people hear or see, but in reality, if the person is capable and good, he/she does not have issues with employer/ nor does employer has issues with the person. While Desi consulting companies seem to stretch rules and have their own ways of handling business, they are also a part of the system. They act like a feeder to system, acting as buffer between layoffs and also specialize in immigration and can be really flexible at times and also give you a share of the billing rates which is not possible in a permanant job where there is career stagnation and lack of mobility.

She should go on h4. If she wants her ead she can file once you get AOS receipt No. unless u alreaqy filed for it. If u already filed for her ead you should still wait for her to quit her h1 job till the ead comes through.

I think if you call them then they might be able to set up the emergency appt. I got a bit frustrated by their process so I never called them.

If I were you, I would look for opportunities that fall in line with your GC labor. System Analyst and Project Manager don't really go well together, leave alone the SOC codes. Your PD also seems to be quite close (relatively speaking).

The senate just voted on the cloture motion. The motion is agreed to and the bill proceed further. The bill got 64 yes and 35 no. The senate majority leader Reid of Nevada is expected to choose the "clay pigeon" option.

I have a question, my attorney says that he has filed the application on 2nd July without my signature.
I have not given any authorization also.
I am worried if it is valid or not.
I don't know if they take authorization from my employer or it should be from me.
Please suggest.
Sorry to have to say this but they will probably reject your application. Signature is the most important thing they look for in any application.
